Job Summary: Under the supervision of the HIS Resource Director, is responsible for answering all dispatch requests from staff for help with the HIS software, building, reviewing and revising the electronic documentation system for the hospital and associated clinics. Duties include trouble shooting problems, providing assistance, training and technical support to all staff and physicians with regards to the HIS software and associated modules. Work with various departments and physicians on proper and optimal use of hospital HIS system. Maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in QA activities.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
- Experience in relevant clinical or technical area of expertise related to EMR preferred.
- Strength in problem solving skills and critical thinking
